SUMMARY
Gate 16: The Gate of Skills
Transit Dates: 26 May — 1 June 2025
Energy Centre: Throat
Astrological Sign: Gemini
Element: Air
THE ESSENCE
Gate 16 is about refined expression, mastery.
It carries the energy of practice, devotion and enthusiasm — not for the sake of perfection, but because something inside you loves it enough to show up again and again.
This is the voice that says:“I experiment. I refine. I share what I’ve embodied.”
THE ENERGY, EXPLAINED
This gate lives in the throat centre and expresses enthusiasm through mastery.
It doesn’t care for shallow repetition — it craves depth, focus and joyful obsession. Think of the dancer who repeats the same move 100 times, not out of duty, but devotion. The dancer who becomes the dance.
During this week, we’re invited to feel into the rituals, practices and talents we are being called to nurture — not for recognition, but for resonance.
This is not about chasing trends. It’s about letting yourself fall in love with the slow burn of what you’re here to express.
HOW YOU MIGHT FEEL IT
You may notice:
A pull toward refining or deepening a creative skill
Frustration if you’re trying to master too many things at once
Self-doubt: “Am I good enough?” or “Why is this taking so long?”
Bursts of enthusiasm followed by moments of inertia
The key? Choose what you love — and let it deepen over time.
REFLECTION PROMPTS
What am I dedicated / devoted to — not because I should be, but because it lights something in me?
Where am I seeking applause instead of alignment?
What wants to be practised in private, without pressure?
INTEGRATION PRACTICE
Devotion in motion. Choose one thing to give 15 minutes of loving attention to each day this week. It could be:
Singing
Drawing
Writing a few lines of a poem
Repeating a mantra
Practising an instrument
Moving your body in the same shape each day
This isn’t about getting it ‘right’.
It’s about learning what devotion feels like in your body.
Light a candle. Breathe in. Begin again.
